INIT SAUGARBA

INIT SA MAGDAMAG is the follow-up to hit film INIT. In the movie, wherein Magda Filipina plays the role of Corlida, she was introduced as the Philippines' first female Bond girl. She is also the love interest of Sean Connery's character in the Casino Royale movie. INIT SA MAGDAMAG is set to be released on Friday, November 16th, in the Philippines. Below is our first INIT SA MAGDAMAG review.

The story of INIT SA MAGDAMAG revolves around a group of young men who are members of a Filipino family on their way to sea. One of these young men, JM de Guzman, finds love with another boy from the family namedgie (Kaysa). Meanwhile, his best friend Cayo (Efren Ramirez) falls for Magda. With the help of a priest, they are able to cross the sea and return to land. But soon enough, one of the members of their crew is murdered.



This romantic story is very typical of its genre. There are moments where plot twists appear that make it seem like the writer wanted to introduce something new in the story. In the end, however, the twist turns out to be just another love triangle. It would have been more interesting if the story had been about two lovers. I suppose the writer wanted to give it that feel-good factor.

Director Angie Linehan managed to create one of the best family films ever. She manages to capture the magic of the Filipino people in a very simple way. The music is catchy and engaging. The plot is convincing and simple to follow.

Angie Linehan has managed to create a film that all of us can relate to. It is not based on Filipino values alone but also on ours. The audience will feel empathy for the characters because they truly are our neighbors. We will also connect with the storyline because it deals with what we as humans need to know. As we watch the different characters progress in the story, we get to see the ups and downs of the Philippine society.

Overall, this film is worth watching. It is definitely worth every minute of our time. One has to admit that this is one film that did not waste any of our money. It is a great film that leaves you glued to the screen. One has to just sit and watch this fantastic movie. Give INIT SAUGARBA a try...
