Ang Probinsyano
Ang Probinsyano's Sylvester Stallone Movie Review

Ang Probinsyano is a Filipino crime writer who has created a complex web for himself with his writing skills. His debut novel, Sang Borang, was recently optioned by Universal Pictures and has been filming in Manila, China. Currently, he is adapting his second novel, Pinoychannel, into a feature film. In the TV series, Probinsyano will play Philippine actor Romeo Laje, the son of an Englishman who is wrongly accused of being a German spy and is sent to the Philippines as a war Prison escapee. As if that weren't enough complication, Laje turns out to be an American agent and is put on a team in charge of finding and killing a German spy called "The Butcher".
Ang Probinsyano first has four story lines or books. The first book (Symphogone Arc) run from 2021 to 2021 covering the early cases of Cardo as a part of the CIDG and the second season of Syndicate, also called the Synetic Arc. The third book, Lat, ran between 2021. It focused on the background of Synetic and reveals a side of Probinsyano's characters that I found interesting and gripping.
In Lat, Probinsyano plays an aging Mexican drug lord named Hijo, who is the leader of a syndicate that owns bars and nightclubs in Manila. Hijo's son, Rambo, is the target of a hit and one of the targets of Synetic. The action sequences are brutal and violent. I loved them because they portrayed the true nature of Manila.
I was excited to watch Synetic, because I love Filipino cinema. However, Ang Probinsyano made it difficult for me to connect with the characters because of pinoychannel tv his language and accents. Yes, the story is engaging. I just wished that the actors were better at delivering the dialogues, because I often felt like the script was a bit choppy at points. Other than that, the film was a thrilling and entertaining watch.
One minor gripe is that some of the events in the film take place off camera for a few minutes at one point. It may seem like a lot of time has gone by, but there were still plenty of explosions, firefights, and car chases. I guess that may make you feel like things happen a little slower on the screen? Regardless, the pace picks up after the credits roll and you start to see some solid acting.
Overall, this movie is fun for all ages. There are some very intense scenes, and there is some violence, but overall it is a very clean film. Plus, Probinsyano turns in an incredibly convincing performance. All in all, this is an awesome low-budget crime thriller that anyone can enjoy.
